News from the GLC - December

All grade levels have been working on making inferences.  To make an inference, we need to use the text, pictures and what we already know to make a good guess about what is happening and/or why it is happening in the story.  Making inferences helps us comprehend the story better.

When reading with your child, try to ask questions in which your child needs to look at the pictures, think about the text and use what they already know to answer.

Ask your child to tell you about the story we read and the Spanish words we learned
