Homework

Students should read 20-30 minutes each and every day.  Some days, that will be our only homework assignment.  No reading logs will be collected, but Mrs. Pearson will collect information at the beginning of the year to meet the interests and needs of individual students' reading lives.

STAR will be used to assess reading levels for each student.  Students will be required to read within that range (ZPD) and will have to have their library books approved before checking out.

Most of our written work will be able to be completed in class if students use their time wisely.  The exception to this would be essays, vocabulary, and checks for understanding.  There will never be any homework assigned over the weekend other than reading.

If a student does not complete work during class, in the time allotted, they have given it to THEMSELVES as homework.
