As the special education teacher for grade 3 at Greenwood School, it is necessary to have ongoing communication between the parent and teacher. Please email me at: [email protected] whenever there is a concern regarding an assignment that is brought home or an assignment that is not understood. I will allow extended time for a homework assignment only if a note from the parent is included.
A lot of time is spent on reading and I use the Wilson Fundations program for reading and spelling. At the beginning of each Unit a new reader is sent home that includes: sounds, real words, nonsense words, trick words, phrases & stories. PLEASE have your child read these pages daily. All words need to be read as well as spelled every Friday for a fluency and dictation test.
New Spelling words are sent home every Friday to allow your child to study them over the weekend.
