It is important to establish classroom rules on the first day of class. These rules will be discussed with students in detail at the beginning of the school year and will be reviewed often in class.  During the first few days of class, I will have the students participate in creating additional rules that they feel are important.  This gives the students some control and responsibility in the classroom.  The rules will also be posted in the classroom for future reference.  All students are expected to know and follow the rules.
