A Little Bit About Myself!

My name is Dawn DeYoung and I will be your child's teacher this year.  I am so excited to be working with you and your children this year.  I believe my passion for teaching will encourage a passion for learning in my students.  I believe that my education and unique experiences will aide me in creating an active, engaging classroom where all children have the opportunity to succeed.  

When not in the classroom, I enjoy reading, music and spending time with my husband and puppy.  I also enjoy being a student as well.  I am working on earning a sign language certificate and continue to take classes and engage in opportunities to build my sign language skills.

I believe that communication is the key to student success.  Family contact is a high priority for me.  I will keep you advised of the events in our class and provide you with communication about your child’s education on a regular basis.   In addition, I want to encourage you to contact me with any questions, concerns, or suggestions.  I look forward to working with you to provide opportunities for your child's success.  I can be contacted by telephone or email.
