WELCOME:
...to Rooms 208-210 @ McKinley JHS.  These classrooms house:
our General Music Instruction, our Choral Program, and also the Music Office.

GENERAL MUSIC INSTRUCTION:
...is typically scheduled for every student in grades 4-8 (with the exception of students enrolled in select bands). Musicians from select bands study with Mr. Taylor, in lieu of General Music.  

Grades 6-8 attend GMC (General Music Class) M-F for one quarter of each school year.  

Grades 4-5 attend GMC for 3 sessions a week for one quarter of the school year.  

The remainder of the school year for grades 4-8 is shared with instruction in Spanish, the Visual Arts, and Computer Technology.



CHORAL PROGRAM:
​McKinley Monarch Choir is our award-winning performance group which is open to students in grades 6-8.  Rehearsals are M-Th throughout the entire school year, during Zero Period @ 8:20 A.M.  Monarch Choir is classified as an elective, for an additional grade on the report card.  There are no special accommodations for bus service or breakfast service, should a student become a member of Monarch Choir.
